I'm Michael Gemina and I'm a 20 year old Filipino drummer who got accepted into Berklee in Boston, Massachusetts. Berklee is considered one of the best contemporary music schools in the world. Some of the Filipino musicians who've graduated there are Tots Tolentino, Malek Lopez of Drip/RubberInc and Gerard Salonga. In fact, Jorel Corpuz of KJWAN is studying there right now and trying to bring the Berklee auditions to Manila (berkleeinmanila.com). I believe that there are enough fellow Filipinos in the Philippines and around the world who can believe with me for this dream. I only need 1,000 TRUE fans to donate 500 pesos each so I can go to Berklee by end of June 2009. Even if you can't donate 10 USD - maybe you can donate 1 USD and convince 9 of your other friends to do the same. Hey, it's not everyday that you get to tell your friends (and maybe your grandchildren one day) that you sent a fellow Filipino to Berklee :) .
